On the International Music Day, Minister of Culture Dr. Enas Abdel Dayem approved on the Egyptian Opera House's celebration program, which kicks off on Monday, 21 June.
The Program will include presenting various artistic activities on its theaters in Cairo and Alexandria.
"Baghdadi Big” Band, led by maestro Dr. Magdi Baghdadi, will present a collection of the world's most famous musical and lyrical works of jazz at 20:00 CLT on Al Nafoura Theatre.
In parallel line , on Al-Gomhouria Theater, “The Modern Theatrical Dance “ Troupe will present the show titled “ deeper than it appears on the surface” , designed and directed by Monadel Antar – it deals with human mind and human societies.
At the same time on Sayed Darwish Theater -Opera Alexandria - the stars of “ Cairo Opera Troupe”- under the supervision director, Dr. Iman Mostafa, with the participation of Alexandria Opera Orchestra - will present a concert led by Maestro Hassan Sharara , directed by Hazem Tayel.
The concert will present a group of international lyrical works in Arabic, Italian , Spanish , French, English, Performed by Iman Mostafa, Mostafa Mohamed, Walid Karim, Imad Adel, Julie Faizy, Dalia Farouk, Jacqueline Rafik, Engy Mohsen, Amina Khairat, Amr Medhat, Elhamy Amin, Ezzat Ghanem, Ibrahim Nagy, Layla Ibrahim, Norsta Al-Marghani, Osama Ali, Osama Jamal, Burhan Al-Din Farouk.
It is noteworthy that this Musical Festivity began, for the first time, on 21 June 1982 in France.
The idea of organizing this avtivity was launched by Jack Lang when he was the Minister of Culture and Maurice Fleury, was the director of Music and Dance, they wanted to mix rock, jazz singing with the classical music.
