Italian Sports Minister Vincenzo Spadafora confirmed that the Portuguese Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo will be subject to investigations by the Federal Bureau.

The investigation will be held concerning Ronaldo's violation of the Italian medical protocols regarding the Corona rules upon his return to Turin from Portugal after it was confirmed that he was infected with the Coronavirus during his participation with his country in the European Nations League championship.

Spadafora said in a press statement, "Ronaldo did not respect the protocols on his return flight from Portugal while he was injured, no one is exempted." according to the Daily Mail.

The Italian Sports Minister added, "There is an investigation by the Federal Prosecutor's Office to prove this."

Ronaldo was infected with the Coronavirus after his participation in the match against France, which ended with a goalless draw in the second round of the European Nations League, to be excluded from the match against Sweden.

He returned to Italy on a private medical plane to be quarantined at his home, but the Italian Sports Minister believes that the Portuguese star has violated the quarantine rules and an investigation will be opened.
