COVID-19: Over 500 Mln Apps to Be Developed in 5 years

COVID-19 pandemic is driving digital transformation at an unprecedented speed, it is likely that more than 500 million new apps will be created globally over 5 years, Rajiv Sudi, the Microsoft India Chief Operating Officer announced on Saturday.

Soddy revealed the availability of Microsoft’s Dynamics 365 Project Operations solution across India, during a virtual roundtable on “Decoding Microsoft Business Applications”, where it was developed to help service-based companies unify their operational workflows to provide visibility, collaboration and insights.

Soddy added: "while technology has been leading the world across industries for a number of years, COVID-19 has accelerated this transformation, and what has been happening for years is now happening in months.

He believes that a two-year digital transformation has occurred in just two months as companies adapt to technologies new to keep in touch and manage business.
