Coronavirus: Seoul Foils Pyongyang's Attempt to Hack Companies

The South Korean Intelligence Agency has foiled North Korean attempts to hack Korean companies developing Coronavirus vaccines, Ha Tae-keung, a member of the Parliament's Intelligence Committee, said on Friday.

He added that after seeing a briefing from the National Intelligence Agency that the agency did not specify the number of drug companies which have been targeted, but said that there was no damage from the hacking attempts, according to Reuters.

Last week, Microsoft said that hackers working for the governments of Russia and North Korea tried to hack the networks of seven pharmaceutical companies and centers specialized in vaccine researches in South Korea, Canada, France, India and the United States.
