China declared a "state of emergency" in a province of more than 37 million people to limit the spread of the emerging Coronavirus.
The National Health Commission of China said on Wednesday that mainland recorded 115 new cases of the emerging coronavirus (Covid-19) on January 12, the highest daily increase in infections in more than five months.
The total confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the Chinese mainland have risen to 87,607, while the total deaths reached 4,634.
