The Colombian Ministry of Defense announced that Defense Minister Carlos Holmes Trujillo has been infected with the new Coronavirus (Covid-19).
The ministry added - in a statement - that the minister has entered quarantine, and he is in good health, and will continue his work from home, (CNN) reported today, Wednesday.
This comes a day after the Colombian Foreign Minister, Claudia Blume, announced that she was infected with the Coronavirus, after a member of her family was infected with the virus.
Colombia has recorded 1816082 cases of coronavirus since the outbreak of the pandemic, including 46 thousand and 782 deaths, according to data from Johns Hopkins University.
