CNN Founder "Ted Turner" Dies Aged 87

Ted Turner, the American media magnate who transformed global television news by launching the world’s first 24-hour news channel, has died at the age of 87 after complications linked to Lewy body dementia, according to CNN.

Turner’s death marks the end of a defining era in modern broadcasting, one that he helped shape by fundamentally altering how news is produced, distributed, and consumed worldwide.

Founded in 1980, CNN emerged under Turner’s vision as the first television network dedicated to continuous news coverage.
