China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi announced on Monday that China has decided to provide a third batch of emergency humanitarian assistance to the people of Gaza.
In a statement, Wang called for an "expanded, more reliable, and effective" international peace conference on Gaza.
Wang said that the infrastructure in the Gaza Strip has been completely destroyed and millions of people are struggling to survive because of the ongoing Israeli shelling.
Wang also stressed that the international community should listen carefully to the legitimate concerns of the countries of the Middle East.
This comes as part of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi's visit to Cairo, where he met with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
