Chinese Ambassador to Egypt Liao Liqiang highly appreciated Egypt's solidarity with China in these critical circumstances amid the outbreak of coronavirus.
In a phone call with Higher Education Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Liqiang affirmed his country's full support of the Egyptian students and researchers in China, pointing to the complete coordination between the Chinese authorities and the Egyptian Embassy in Beijing.
Abdel Ghaffar, in turn, lauded the strong ties between Cairo and Beijing and the close cooperation in the higher education domain, expressing Egypt's full support to China in these trying times.
The minister said that the Higher Education Ministry, in cooperation with the Supreme Council of Universities, pays attention to the Chinese students in Egypt and is keen on offering all kinds of support for them.
He told the ambassador that the Chinese students, who study in Egypt and reside in China, will have modified schedules when they turn to Egypt.
