Thousand of participants, including celebrities, joined the support campaign for the Children's Cancer Hospital 57357.

On his part, Obada Sarhan, member of the Board of Trustees of 57357 said that the hospital “has been facing a severe shortage of donations for some time, in exchange for the high prices of chemicals and equipment used in light of the crisis of lack of foreign currency needed for import and, accordingly, the increase in prices, as well as the decline in donations after pandemic".

Sarhan added, in statements that “the last meeting of the Board of Trustees a month ago resulted in handing over its branch in Tanta Governorate, Gharbia Governorate  to take over its management; because of the financial crisis.

Regarding the measures taken by the hospital to mitigate the impact of the lack of resources, Sarhan said, "We are in the process of reducing the age of follow-up with patients after treatment from the age of 25 to 22 years, to reduce expenses in light of the crisis," denying news circulating that the cause of the crisis is dissolving a deposit belonging to the hospital 3 months ago.”
