CBE: Bank Deposits Grow to EGP 6.980 Trillion

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) revealed that the total customer deposits in banks other than the central bank increased to EGP 6.980 trillion at the end of March, compared to EGP 6.646 trillion at the end of February 2022.

The report added that the deposits were pided into government deposits, which recorded EGP 1.377 trillion, and non-governmental deposits, which amounted to EGP 5.602 trillion.

Government deposits were pided into EGP 1.200 trillion in local currency, and EGP 177.209 billion in foreign currencies.

Non-governmental deposits were pided into EGP 4.770 trillion in local currency and EGP 832.3 billion in foreign currencies.
