On Sunday, the Indian authorities announced that three people were killed and eight others were injured as a result of a landslide in the state of Uttarakhand.
The collapse occurred due to heavy rains that hit the area, the victims were killed while heading to a religious temple, the Indian NDTV network reported.
Relief teams headed to the area to begin search and rescue efforts, while the authorities asked citizens to stay away from areas at risk of landslides.
