Cate Blanchett's "Tár" Release Date Set for October 2022

Focus Features will release two-time Oscar winner Cate Blanchett's new movie "Tár" in theaters on October 7, 2022.

The movie also features Nina Hoss, Noémie Merlant, Sophie Kauer, Julian Glover, Mark Strong, Allan Corduner, and Sylvia Flote.

Blanchett will portray Lydia Tár, an orchestra conductor widely considered one of the greatest at her craft and the first-ever female chief conductor of a major German orchestra.

The score to the movie is composed by Oscar-winning Joker composer Hildur Guðnadóttir, the first female composer to win an Academy Award, Golden Globe, and BAFTA for Original Score.

The movie is written and directed by Todd Field, who is producing the movie under his Standard Film Company banner alongside Alexandra Milchan and Scott Lambert for Emjag Productions.

"Tár" is currently filming in Berlin.
