On Sunday, a number of Qesm Bab Sharqi's police and Health Affairs Directorate in Alexandria launched a major campaign which resulted the shutting of both Carrefour's branches in Alexandria alongside other shops due to violating the medical protection measures of COVID-19.

Recently, many reports depicted huge crowds at Carrefour's branches on the occasion of Carrefour's annual sale season, moreover, the visitors of the hyper mall didn't wear masks or follow the codes of social distancing.

Moreover, the government started today imposing 50 LE. fines against anyone who doesn't wear mask. On the other hand, facilities or shops will be required to pay more than 4000 LE if they don't apply the protection measures against COVID-19, alongside shutting off the facility for a week.
