Cardi B Teases New Music and More Projects Coming This Summer

American rapper Cardi B teased new music and more projects are coming this summer.

A new song from Cardi would mark the Grammy winner’s first proper release since July when she dropped “Hot Shit” with Kanye West and Lil Durk. In 2022, she also guested on songs by Rosalia, GloRilla, and Summer Walker. 

Last month marked five years since her debut album, Invasion of Privacy, released in 2018, and there’s still no sign that a sophomore follow-up is on its way. 

This isn’t the first time Cardi has given clues about her new music. In recent months, she’s noted to fans that she has been hard at work in and out of the studio. 

In December, she said she had high hopes of putting out an album this year. The album's release has been continually disturbed by the coronavirus pandemic.

In an interview, the "Bodak Yellow" rapper added that the project is missing something but she got to release it.

"I have no choice, I have to put it out. I have like a couple of songs that are like definite, I don't know. I don't know what's going on with me. I need to just make up my mind and put it out," Cardi B told The Breakfast Club.

"I gotta put it out, I gotta put it out next year," the "Bodak Yellow" rapper added.
