10 Years to Confucius Magazine Publication at Cairo Univ.

Cairo University is celebrating, this year, the 10th anniversary of the publication of Confucius Institute magazine. It is a cultural magazine that sheds light on the Chinese culture; It also provides an opportunity for the Arab reader to know about everything new in Chinese society.

Cairo University President Dr. Mohamed Othman Elkhosht expressed his happiness with the openness to the great Chinese civilization through the Confucius Institute magazine.

He said that the magazine opens a window for the Arab reader to know more about the ancient Chinese civilization and modern developments in Chinese society, as it links between Chinese and Arab cultures.

Cairo University is celebrating, this year, the 10th anniversary of the publication of Confucius Institute.

“We recognize the importance of China as a political and economic superpower and its importance for Egypt in the framework of the strategic relations, '' Dr. Elkhosht said, stressing that the university is interested in opening all doors and ways to communicate with the outside world as this is necessary to open the horizons of cooperation.

On the other hand, Director of Confucius Institute at Cairo University, Rehab Mahmoud, pointed out that the magazine is published every two months, in several languages besides Chinese, such as Arabic, Russian, Korean, Japanese and some modern European languages, adding that 56 issues have been published.

The Director of Confucius Institute at Cairo University pointed out to the hard work exerted in the publication of the magazine, starting from the selection of topics, the headlines, writing and translation, the design, printing, and distribution.

She confirmed that the magazine represents a link between the Chinese culture and the Arab peoples.
