Cairo ranked the fourth most beautiful city in the world for 2026, according to a new global classification released by Civitatis, the international platform specializing in tours, travel activities, and guided experiences.
The platform attributed Cairo’s high ranking to its thousands of years of history, noting that the mere sight of the Great Pyramid of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, is enough to demonstrate why the Egyptian capital remains one of the world’s most remarkable and visually captivating destinations.
In its report, Civitatis highlighted Cairo’s blend of historical and cultural attractions, pointing in particular to the Egyptian Museum, home to one of the richest collections of antiquities in the world, alongside the city’s traditional markets that continue to preserve Egypt’s cultural and architectural heritage.
The report also emphasized the diversity of Cairo’s tourism offerings as a major factor behind its appeal, especially Nile cruise experiences featuring dinner events and live entertainment, which remain among the most popular attractions for international visitors.
