The Confederation of the African Football (CAF) refused on Monday Zamalek's request regarding the postponement of their CAF Champions League encounter against Toungit.

Zamalek filed a request to the football's governing body in Africa, calling for delaying the game to be played on Wednesday instead of Tuesday.

In statements, Essam Salem, the spokesman of the Whites said that Zamalek demanded to postpone the game due the an emergency circumstance, happened to the delegation during their journey to Senegal.

Salem said that the reason for the White Knight's request came after the delay of  Zamalek's plane because of Mauritania's decision to close the airspace.

It is worth mentioning that the Zamalek held a goalless draw against MC Alger in the first round.
