The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has greeted Egypt's former goalkeeper and Legend Essam El Hadary on his 47th birthday on Wednesday.
On its official Facebook page, CAF described him as a Pharaohs' and Al Ahly's legend.
"Happy birthday to Pharaohs and Al Ahly legend Essam El Hadary," CAF said on its official Facebook page.
It also noted that El Hadary became the oldest player to take part in the Fifa World Cup when he participated with the Pharaohs against Saudi Arabia aged 45.
He managed to smash the record set by the former Colombian player Faryd Mondragón.
"El Hadary became the oldest player in the World Cup history when he played against Saudi Arabia aged 45 years and 161 days," CAF concluded.

Last month, El Hadary's gloves, which he wore against Saudi Arabia and managed to save a penalty with them, decorated Fifa World Football Museum.
Fifa Museum posted a photo of the 47-year -old goalkeeper’s gloves on its official Twitter page.
“At the 2018 FIFAWorldCup ElHadary didn’t just become the tournament’s oldest player, but also the first African in #WorldCup history to save a penalty,” Fifa Museum tweeted.
“His gloves from this game, the last of his international career, are part of our ‘Foot Et Monde Arabe’ exhibition,” it added.
