CAF Champions League Draw

The draw for the 2024-2025 CAF Champions League resulted in Al-Ahly being placed in Group 3 with Orlando Pirates, Chabab Belouizdad, and Stade d'Abidjan.

Egyptian football is represented in the CAF Champions League by Al-Ahly, the title holder, and Pyramids, who are participating in the tournament as runners-up in the Premier League last season.

CAF announced the classification of the clubs that qualified for the group stage of the CAF Champions League, with Al-Ahly coming in first with South Africa's Sundowns, Tunisia's Esperance, and Congo's Mazembe, while Pyramids came in second with Morocco's Raja, Tanzania's Young Africans, and Algeria's Chabab Belouizdad.

The classification of the clubs participating in the African Champions League came as follows:

First level: Al-Ahly - South Africa's Sundowns - Tunisia's Esperance - Congo's Mazembe

Second level: Pyramids - Morocco's Raja - Tanzania's Young Africans - Algeria's Chabab Belouizdad

Third level: Sudan's Al-Hilal - Morocco's Royal Army - Angola's Sagrada - South Africa's Orlando Pirates

Fourth level: Algeria's Mouloudia - Mali's Djoliba - Congo's Maniema Union - Ivory Coast's Stade d'Abidjan
