The Cabinet’s Media Center revealed that in light of the news reported about the state's intention to lay off thousands of employees to coincide with the expansion of the application of digital transformation, the center contacted the Central Agency for Organization and Administration (CAPMAS), which denied the news.
The media center stressed that there is no truth to the state's intention to lay off thousands of employees in conjunction with the expansion of the application of digital transformation, and that no decisions have been issued in this regard, explaining that the expansion of the application of digital transformation aims to develop the skills of workers in the state's administrative apparatus, without prejudice to any of their rights or rights. Lay off any of them, to keep pace with the development in the new work patterns, and in line with the state’s strategy to build the digital capabilities of employees in the administrative apparatus.
It pointed out that the digital transformation achieves a kind of justice, as it accurately monitors the employee’s performance electronically, to ensure that the capabilities of employees are identified, and the strengths and weaknesses of each employee are monitored, to qualify him in a manner commensurate with the job he performs, which will reflect positively on improving the quality of public services provided to citizens.
