Bulgarian President Lauds Egypt's Pivotal Role in Urging Restraint in Middle East

The President of Bulgaria Rumen Radev praised the important and pivotal role played by Egypt to help calm the situation in the Middle East.

This came during the presentation of the Egyptian Ambassador to Sofia Nader Saad's credentials to the Bulgarian President.

Following the credentials presentation ceremony, the Bulgarian President expressed his interest in boosting relations with Egypt, stressing that Egypt is Bulgaria's pivotal partner in the Middle East and Africa region.

The President  praised the friendly fraternal relations with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and asked to convey his greetings to the Egyptian president.

The Bulgarian President also expressed his gratitude with the recent positive developments in bilateral relations, represented by the holding of the meetings of the first session of the Joint Cooperation Committee between Egypt and Bulgaria in Cairo on February 10.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated Friday that bilateral relations are witnessing a state of growing momentum since the important visit made by President Radev to Egypt in 2019.

 Saad briefed President Rumen Radev on the positive results of the meetings of the Joint Cooperation Committee between Egypt and Bulgaria with the participation of 6 ministers from the Bulgarian government, stressing that the coming period will witness a follow-up on the implementation of the cooperation topics agreed upon between the two sides, especially in the fields of gas, Information technology, transportation, trade, and tourism.
