On Thursday, Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak announced on social media that they have formed a band, called Silk Sonic. The pair will release their first single on March 5th.
They had also finished an album that will feature legendary Bootsy Collins. It is not yet known when the album will be released.
Collins issued his most recent solo, "The Power of the One", last year. Paak released his latest album "Ventura" in 2019, while Mars’ last album was 2016’s "24K Magic".
The two have collaborated before, not on record, but as tourmates when .Paak opened for the "Just The Way You Area" singer's part of the “24K Magic” tour.
