Netflix released Thursday the first trailer for Halle Berry‘s MMA sports drama movie “Bruised”, which is set to premiere on November 23.
The movie, which marks Berry’s directorial debut, also stars Adan Canto, Sheila Atim, Stephen McKinley Henderson, and others.
“Bruised” is centered around disgraced MMA fighter, Jackie Justice (Berry), as she faces one of the rising stars in the field, while also dealing with the return of her six-year-old son.
It also features Shamier Anderson as an encouraging MMA league owner and Valentina Shevchenko as Berry’s main rival.
In August, the Oscar-winning actress expressed her excitement about her passion project is finally ready to be seen after three years.
She added that the project was very special to her, not just because it is her directorial debut, but also because MMA is a sport that she absolutely loves and is a genre that has always been winning.
