Production wrapped on the latest chapter of the Bring It On movie franchise, "Bring It On: Cheer Or Die".

The movie marks the seventh installment in the cheerleader rom-com franchise and its first slasher.

The cheerleading franchise was released in 2000, starring Kirsten Dunst and Gabrielle Union as two rivalry cheerleading squads leaders.

The movie revolved around stolen cheer routines and the battle of squads in a national tournament.

It was followed by five direct-to-video sequels and one upcoming Halloween-themed television movie sequel, none of which featured any of the original film's cast members.

"Bring It On: Cheer Or Die" follows a cheer squad that practices their routines overnight at an abandoned school during Halloween weekend where one by one, they fall victim to a deranged assailant.

It stars Missi Pyle, Kerri Medders, Tiera Skovbye, and others.

"Bring It On: Cheer Or Die" is directed by Karen Lam and is written by Rebekah McKendry and Dana Schwartz from a story by Alyson Fouse.

Lam will be the first female director to helm a movie in the franchise.

The movie is executive produced by Beacon Pictures partners Armyan Bernstein and Charlie Lyons, produced by Griff Furst, and co-produced by Tony Gonzalez and C. Eve Stewart.

Gonzalez is also returning to the franchise as the choreographer.

"Bring It On: Cheer Or Die" is set to premiere on SYFY in Fall 2022.
