This latest release from the Muslim Council of Elders delves into the biography of the Islamic hero Khalid ibn al-Walid and covers the life of the esteemed companion from his upbringing to his death, exploring his life before and after embracing Islam and the battles in which he participated. The author addresses some of the research challenges accompanying the biography of Khalid ibn al-Walid.
To uncover the truth, the author adopted an investigative approach, consolidating these conflicting narrations found in the books of hadith, biographies, and history. He also employs a rigorous scientific methodology in studying historical texts, leaning towards one narration based on scholarly foundations. This preference is rooted in sound reasoning, relying on authentic knowledge of the personalities of Islam, while critiquing the writings of some contemporaries regarding the esteemed companion.
The book also includes a comprehensive biography of the author, written by the distinguished Al-Azhar scholar, Professor Dr. Muhammad Rajab Al-Bayoumi.
