South Korean pop group BTS will join U.S. President Biden on Tuesday to address the anti-Asian discrimination as well as the Coronavirus pandemic.
“On Tuesday, May 31st, global K-pop phenomenon and Grammy-nominated musical group from the Republic of Korea BTS will join President Biden to discuss Asian inclusion and representation, and to address anti-Asian hate crimes and discrimination which have become more prominent issues in recent years,” the White House said on Thursday.

The rare invitation for South Korean pop artists to the White House comes amid a significant increase in crimes targeting Asian American and other minority communities in the U.S.
The group has previously spoken out about the unfounded discrimination and unnecessary hate the Asian community continuously experience.
“We stand against racial discrimination. We condemn violence. You, I, and we all have the right to be respected. We will stand together,” they said in a statement.
