Baabda Prison Break: 5 Killed, 2 Wounded (Video)

At least 69 prisoners escaped earlier Saturday, from Baabda prison in Lebanon, according to Lebanese sources.

The sources added that five prisoners were killed, and 2 others were wounded in a traffic accident while escaping.

"Security forces have cordoned off the area," a correspondent reported.

The media noted that the escape process took place at dawn, indicating that the accident happened near the Constitutional Council in Lebanon.

“The police members were able to arrest 8 prisoners who escaped from the prison, handing them over to State Security, while the prosecution process continues with the security forces to arrest the other escapees,” Baabda Police stated.
