Austria donated 33 gasoline generators to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the agency's press service announced in a post on Facebook on Thursday.
"The equipment, worth a total of 91,000 euros, was handed over by the Austrian Interior Ministry's department of crisis situations, disaster management, and civil protection thanks to the EU Civil Protection Mechanism," the post read.
It added that 9 to 80 Kilowatt (kW) generators would be used to power "points of invincibility", which are heated tents where people can charge their phones, warm up or get internet access, and provide electricity to entire buildings.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy pointed out that the 2023 year will be a crucial stage for the conflict with Russia, asserting that his forces are preparing for the war.
Zelenskyy said: “We continue to prepare the defense and security forces of Ukraine for the next year. It must be a crucial year.”
The president highlighted the risks in the winter, noting that they are fully aware of what they have to do in the spring.
