Asser Yassin's Untitled Netflix Series Gets Official Title

The official title for Egyptian actor Asser Yassin's upcoming untitled TV series for Netflix has been revealed.

The project will film under the working title of "Men Qatal Nadia" (Who killed Nadia).

The series also stars Mahmoud Hemida, Shereen Reda, Sherif Salama, and Rakeen Saad.

"Men Qatal Nadia", which consists of 15 episodes, is scripted by Mohamed Al Masry, directed by Al Sadeer Massoud, and produced by Mohamed Meshish.

On the other hand, Yassin is set to participate in the Eid al-Adha Movie marathon in the film "Shamrekh".

It also stars Amina Khalil, Khaled El Sawy, Mohamed Tharwat, Sally Hammad, Adam El Sharkawy, Mostafa Darwish, and others.

“Shamrekh" is written and directed by Amr Salama.

Yassin, born on February 25, 1981, began his career on the stage of the American University in Cairo spotted by Director Khairy Beshara to play his first role on TV in Qalb Habiba in 2006, followed by the blockbuster "The Yacoubian Building" in 2007. 

Yassin landed his first major film role in the 2008 film "Zay El Naharda", where he was praised for his supporting role, playing the character of a drug addict. 

In the same year, Yassin played a leading role in the movie "El Waad" (The Promise), facing the legendary actor Mahmoud Yassin. In 2010, Yassin played the leading role in a Daoud Abdel Sayed movie "Messages from the Sea", for which he was awarded Best Actor at the Carthage Film Festival and Malmö Arab Film Festival. 

He was also awarded Best Actor for his latest release Aswar El Qamar (2015) by The Tetouan International Mediterranean Film Festival.
