Armed Forces Gear Up to Secure Senate Elections (VIDEO)

Egypt's Armed Forces in cooperation with Interior Ministry and the National Elections Authority (NEA) has taken all the necessary measures and procedures to secure the 2020 senate elections set for next Tuesday and Wednesday.

This comes within the Armed forces' efforts to provide a safe environment for citizens to cast their ballots.

Voting for Egyptians at home is set to be held next Tuesday and Wednesday.

A total of 787 candidates are competing for seats in the 300-seat chamber after appeals filed by rejected candidates were settled by courts last week.

Voters in the Senate Elections this year shall select a number of candidates representing the number of seats required in the inpidual system, in addition to one of the candidates’ lists in their constituencies from among 4 constituencies, each representing a number of governorates.
