Archaeologists uncovered two new buildings like castle in Beheira Governorate northwest, Egypt. According to Antiquities Ministry, the circular-shaped buildings were used as stores and animal bones were found within the silos.

In addition, an ancient pottery was discovered during the excavation, as well as pottery kilns.

The two new buildings which were discovered were built by Ramses II, who is credited for expanding Egypt's reach as far as modern Syria to the east and Sudan to the south.

Noteworthy, archaeologists found in other projects, a teenage girl’s skeleton in a mysterious grave near the Meidum pyramid, south of Cairo, as well as dozens of mummies in ancient desert burial chambers.

Also, Antiquities Ministry uncovered ancient tombs in the Nile Delta north of Cairo, last January, and two ancient tombs dating back to the Roman period in Western Desert.
