Arab parliament condemns Israeli attack on worshippers at Al-Aqsa Mosque

The Arab Parliament strongly condemns the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by the Israeli authorities and calls for an urgent International Action

The Arab Parliament (AP) strongly condemned and denounced the Israeli authorities storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque and their attack against peaceful worshippers, as storming houses of the residents of occupied Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah and their forcible displacement.

The AP expressed its categorical rejection of the continued practices of the Israeli occupation authorities which represent a flagrant violation of the resolutions of international legitimacy and the international humanitarian law.

The AP warned of the consequences of the escalation that leads to undermining the chances of resuming the peace process to achieve security and stability in the region, and called on the Israeli authorities to stop immediately the violations and attacks against Palestinians as well as any practices that violate the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque; the AP also called on the international community to make pressure on the Israeli side to stop the escalation and violations in Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Old City and the occupied Jerusalem.

The AP renewed its full support to the Palestinian people and to all efforts aimed at reaching a comprehensive and just solution to the Palestinian cause enabling the Palestinians to establish their own independent Palestinian State on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital in accordance to the resolutions of international legitimacy and the Arab Peace Initiative.
