The Arab Parliament has condemned the crime of ethnic cleansing carried out by the Israeli occupation forces through the displacement and evacuation of 28 homes inhabited by 500 Palestinian citizens in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in Jerusalem, in preparation for the establishment of new Israeli settlement units.

The Arab Parliament affirmed that this process is a crime of ethnic cleansing, as these homes were legally established for Palestinian refugees who were forcibly displaced from their homes in 1948.

Therefore, Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Asoumi, President of the Arab Parliament, sent letters to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, the presidents of regional parliaments and the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, affirming the Arab Parliament's condemnation of this racist crime that violates human rights and international laws.

The President of the Arab Parliament called on the international community to take immediate action to stop these racist crimes, activate the mechanisms of international law and international humanitarian law, and to hold the perpetrators of these crimes accountable in order to achieve justice for the Palestinian people.
