As the excavation of the Egyptian archaeological mission under the super vission of Dr. mostafa Waziri the General Secretary of the Antiquities Supreme Council in the Saqqara area continues, more discoveries are being made.

The discoveries include finding a deep burial well with more than 13 human coffins last week and finding another burial well with 14 more coffins which makes the total number of discovered coffins 27. The coffins have been closed for more than 2500 years since their burial.

The excavation will continue to discover more ancient secrets and the details of these discoveries will be announced soon in a press conference in the Saqqara antiquities area.

Last week, Dr. Khalid El-Anani the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities made sure to see the discoveries and go into the well with Dr. Mostafa Waziri.

The minister also thanked all the people working in the site during these hard times.

The initial studies show that these coffins are closed and haven't been opened since their burial. Also, it is probable that these are not the only coffins there. It is predicted to find more coffins in the niches around the wells where a number of ancient findings and wooden coffins were found.

So far the identities and political positions of the coffins' owners have not been identified but they will be soon as the excavation continues.
