Depeche Mode keyboardist "Andy Fletcher" Dies Aged 60

Depeche Mode keyboardist, and founding member "Andy Fletcher" has died at the age of 60, the band announced in a tweet.

The band said they were "shocked and deeply saddened by the sudden death of our dear friend, family member, and mate."

They continued that the keyboard player has a "heart of gold" and "their hearts are with his family."

Depeche Mode was a chart success in the '80s and '90s with singles including New Life, Enjoy the Silence, and Just Can't Get Enough.

The band became successful with their dark electronic voice with hit songs including the character Jesus.

Fletcher leaves behind a wife, Grainne, to whom he was married for almost 30 years, and two children, Megan and Joe.

Rolling Stone has confirmed that he died of natural causes.
