Andrea and George Set to Launch EGP 100m Gold Factory in Obour City

Andrea and George for Gold & Jewellery company is set to open an EGP 100 m gold processing factory as part of its expansion plan in the local markets.

This is in addition to the existing manufacturing unit in Gamalia, which currently has a production capacity of 8 tons per year and employs 500 skilled artisans.

The CEO of the company and the member of Gold Division Andrea Tadros told Sada Elbalad English (news site) that the new facility will be located in Obour city on an area of 5000 sqm, and will employ 2000 workers soon.

"Andrea and George for Gold & Jewelry, one of the largest jewelry retailers locally, with a strong network of several outlets and facilities spread across the country, and distributed in Zagazig in Sharqiya province, Mansoura, Alexandria, Tanta, Beheira, and Gerga, Sohag Governorate," Tadros said.

"It has a production capacity of 8 tons of gold a year, including 6.3 tons of gold artifacts, 5.4 tons of 21 k, and 900 kilos of 18 k.

Tadros added that the Upper Egypt market is attractive as it ranks first in terms of consumption of gold jewelry and its high purchasing power. On this basis, the firm will be expanding into various markets and regions in upper Egypt," he added.

"Upper Egypt is a promising market with geo-economic importance,” he noted.

"Our firm has been involved in the marketing of gold and jewelry via the internet to market our products as well as the formation of a network of distributors of wholesalers and retailers."

The CEO of the well-known gold firm said that his company offers "Gold Recovery Service" at inexpensive rates which is distinct from other competitor’s rates.

"Our customers can also retrieve our products without major obstacles."
