American singer Alicia Keys visits Egypt

CAIRO, SEPT 3 (SEE): The Grammy award-winning musician and American singer Alicia Keys visited Egypt last week with her husband music producer, Kasseem Dean who is also known as Swizz Beatz and their 2 sons. One of the kids was named "Egypt" after Alicia's favorite country.

The family who were were welcomed by Minister of Tourism Rania Al-Mashat in one of her tweets, enjoyed the family trip; they posted photos and videos on their Instagram accounts. They also tried to learn Arabic.

 

“It’s a pleasure welcoming the Grammy award-winning musician and iconic singer @AliciaKeys in #Egypt! We hope you and your family enjoy your visit and experience with us," Al-Mashat wrote.

"Some call it the sphinx but we learned the original name is Heruemahket. One majestic, magnificent piece of art just like our love, my love," Alicia wrote in a caption for her photo with her husband in front of the Great Sphinx.

She wrote also in a caption of her 2 kids playing with the sand, "Sands of time. I just want them to know how powerful they are. How incredible our ancestors were.The first astrophysicists, scientists, physicians, mathematicians, architects, creators of so much of the world as we know it. It’s such a blessing to know what cloth you’re cut from!"
