Acclaimed American singer and songwriter Macklemore arrived in Egypt this week and paid a visit to Giza Pyramids and Sphinx.
During his current visit, the Thrift Shop's singer posted several photos through Instagram’s story feature, expressing his excitement at seeing the ancient Egyptian monuments in person.
He wrote, “I’ve always wanted to go to the Pyramids. Finally took the solo excursion today…Sacred geometry.”
The Grammy-winning artist is well known for some of his hit songs like "Can't Hold Us”, “The Heist”, and “Ben”.
Macklemore came to fame in 2013, after he dropped his smash hit single, “Thrift Shop”, in a collaboration with producer Ryan Lewis.
In collaboration with Ryan Lewis, Macklemore made his breakthrough with “Thrift Shop”, which was dubbed by Billboard as the first song since 1994 to top the Hot 100 chart without the support of a major record label, and won two Grammys in the same year for Best Rap Song, and Best Rap Performance.
