Allianz, Zewail City Provide Egypt's Doctors with Cabins to Combat COVID

Allianz Egypt in partnership with Zewail City delivered 12 fully equipped isolation cabins to major governmental and university hospitals in Egypt.

This step came in in order to give Egypt's white army- doctors and nurses- all the necessary protection during the examination of coronavirus patients.

These cabins are the first serious and fruitful cooperation between Allianz Egypt, a leading provider of insurance services and solutions, and the Zewail City of Science, Technology, and Innovation wich manufactured the medical cabins.

The company officials are proud of what it is doing in this field to reinforce and support the efforts made by the Egyptian state and its institutions in these exceptional circumstances to confront the emerging Coronavirus.

"Therefore, cooperation with the University of Science, Technology, and Innovation in Zewail City has resulted in the implementation of medical isolation cabins according to the best scientific standards," he said. "We care to ensure the highest levels of safety and prevention for doctors and nurses while carrying out their duty to detect patients and those affected by the pandemic."

Hegazy added that this step comes within the protocol signed between the two sides, aiming to develop scientific research and support state institutions to face the repercussions of Coronavirus.

On his part, Dr. Mahmoud M. Abd Rabo, Acting CEO of Zewail City for Science, Technology, and Innovation praised the cooperation with Allianz Egypt.

Abd Rabo pointed out that the speed and accuracy with which the medical isolation cabins were implemented and produced express the application of the scientific approach that Zewail City adheres to in the field of scientific research.

Abd Rabo expressed that the cabins have been designed and implemented by specialists, engineers, and technicians from Zewail City to ensure the regularity of its operation with the highest efficiency.

He explained that the cabins provide a safe and clean environment for Egypt`s white army in performing their duty towards the patients. It represents an effective alternative to the prevention tools whose provision has become a crisis, even for the developed countries.

In a related context, he explained that this cooperation will produce many positive results that we will soon witness on the ground, such as implementing and producing the first ventilator with 100% Egyptian experience, which will be allocated to late-stage cases of people with respiratory diseases caused by the Coronavirus.

At this time of the renewed fears in Egypt and worldwide from the breakout of the second wave of Coronavirus, the cabins will serve as a new wall that provides protection and security for the white army.

Such cabins that produced under the auspices of Allianz, designed and implemented by Zewail City are not only equipped for Coronavirus, but for any health or medical emergency conditions.

Their design allows medical teams to fully carry out their work from examining, caring, and taking samples, without direct contact with patients.

It is worth mentioning that medical isolation cabins are installed in a number of government hospitals, including Kasr El-Aini Teaching Hospital, Al-Azhar University Hospital, Al-Hussein University Hospital, Al Zahraa Hospital University, Nasser Institute For Research and Treatment, Imbaba Fevers Hospital, Abbasiya Fever Hospital, Beni Suef General Hospital, Om El Masryeen Hospital, El Warraq Central Hospital, Al-Hawamdia Hospital.

The mentioned hospitals receive the most cases of patients with Coronavirus because they are located in places characterized by high population density, in a step aimed at relieving the state.
