The upcoming edition of the Cairo International Book Fair (CIBF) will kick off on January 26. Here are all you need to know about the 53rd CIFF.
It will take place between 26th January and 7th February at Egypt International Exhibition Center.
CIBF activities would be back to their familiar season which is between the end of January and the beginnings of February with the forthcoming edition.
Regarding the theme of the 53rd CIBF, it will be held under the theme of “Egypt’s Identity,” and Greece was selected to be the Guest of Honor. In addition, the event will pay tributes to Yehia Haqy and Abdel Tawab Youssef.
It is worthy to mention that the previous edition of CIBF gained a new world record as the number of its visitors surpassed 1, 700,000 persons according to Dr. Haitham El Hagg, the Director of the Egyptian General Book Organization.
This number was almost less than the total number of visitors in the previous editions by 50%, however, it was the most visited cultural event since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in the world.
