Algeria's Team Return Home with AFCON Trophy

Algeria's national team have just arrived at Houari Boumediene Airport (ALG) on Saturday with the trophy of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

After their arrival, thousands of people celebrated the Desert Warriors' win in a glorious victory parade.

Earlier that day, the Desert Warriors left Cairo international airport  heading back home with the trophy of AFCON.

It is worth mentioning that Algeria managed to end their 29-year wait for an AFCON title by beating Senegal 1-0 to win the tournament in Egypt.

The Desert Warriors will be awarded $4.5 million by CAF, while Teranga lions will be handed $2.5 million.
