“Egypt 2050” Conference Concludes at Bibliotheca Alexandrina

Dr. Mustafa Al Feqi, Director of Bibliotheca Alexandrina concluded, on Monday, conference of “Egypt 2050” which ran over December 8,9.

He delivered the concluding statement to declare the recommendations reached throughout debates in the conference.

Dr. Al Feqi assured that leaders of the world are convinced that wars and conflicts broke out for economic reasons.

Poverty is a time bomb not in Egypt only but across the planet.

He warned that poverty and lower income stand as barrier preventing Egypt from achieving goals of development.

He added that Egypt faces many challenges such as the rocketing growth of population, climate change, problems of water and energy.

Those problems make life in Egypt more difficult for the most vulnerable categories of the population.

We must mull over the future and find solutions to those problems, he said.

Bibliotheca Alexandrina rubs shoulder with everyone to cooperate in achieving sustainable development in the world and Egypt.

Dr. Al Feqi stressed that Alexandrina Bibliotheca is a leading establishment to produce knowledge.

It is also a center to develop social and cultural persity and a platform for dialog and creativity.

He explained that the dialogue, conducted in the library, becomes a big platform for sustainable development based on studies authored by experts in all fields and it concentrates on the future.

Al Feqi pointed out that management of the library has faith in the youths as a major force locally, regionally and internationally so it hears them to know their dreams and ambitions.

 

The library is keen to create opportunities to upgrade their skills and to construct their ideas.

At the end of his speech, Director of Alexandrina Bibliotheca expressed optimism in the future.

He affirmed that all people are responsible for the future and the library won’t save no effort to make a better future.
