Egyptian actor Ahmed Helmy is working on his second book.
This is not the 53-year-old star's first rodeo in the field of writing. He previously wrote the book "28 Harf" (28 Letters), published by Shorouk Publishing House in 2012.
He had also penned the script for the films “Earus Wi Earisa” (Groom and Bride), and “Wish Wa Dahr” (Face and Back), the latter took 9 years to prepare and write.
Moreover, Helmy will script and star in a new film with his wife, actress Mona Zaki.
Zaki previously shared that the upcoming production is a light romantic comedy, noting that the script has been completed.
The project marks the first collaboration between the beloved couple after an absence of 20 years. They last collaborated in the 2003 film "Sahar El Layaly".
Helmy, born on November 18, 1969, started his career in 1993 on the Egyptian Satellite Broadcast.
He made his acting debut in the 1998 acclaimed film “Aboud Ala El Hodoud” (Aboud on the Borders), co-starring with Alaa Waley El Din, and Karim Abdel Aziz.
Thereafter, Helmy quickly made a jump to leading roles in films such as “Omar 2000”, “El Nazer” (2000), “El Selem We Al Tho’ban” (2001), and "Sahar El Layali" (2003).
