Ahmed Hatem's TV Series "Omar Affendi" First Look and Premiere Date Unveiled

The first look and premiere date for Egyptian actor Ahmed Hatem's upcoming TV series "Omar Affendi" have been unveiled.

Written by Mostafa Hamdy and directed by Abdul Rahman Abu Ghazaleh, the series takes place between the two different periods in time, following the love story between a couple played by Hatem and Aya Samaha.

The cast also includes Rania Youssef, Mostafa Abo Sreaa, Mohammed Radwan, Mahmoud Hafez, and more. 

The official description of the series states: "A man in his thirties finds a secret basement that sends him back to 1943, uncovering an unknown past. Driven by curiosity, he chooses to lead a double life spanning decades."

"Amr Afandy" is produced by Best Media Production and is set to debut on the Shahid streaming platform on August 18.

Hatem made his last appearance on the small screen in the 2022 TV series “Ana W Heya”

It also starred Hannah El Zahed, Ashraf Abdil Baky, Mirhan Hussein, Arfa Abdel Rassoul, and others. The rom-com series consisted of 15 episodes and was penned by Mostafa Hamdy and directed by Sameh Abdel Aziz. 

Ahmed Hatem

Hatem, born on December 25, 1987, made his acting debut in the 2006 film "Awqat Faragh".

Other notable film credits include "El Kenz" (2017), "El Haram El Rabea" (2016), "Qeset Hob" (2019), "El Ghassala" (2020), "Arousty" (2021), and "Qamar 14" (2022).

He is best known for his roles in TV productions "Vertigo" (2012), "Al-Sayyeda Al-Oula" (2014), "Ibn Halal" (2014), "Hawary Bucharest" (2015), "Haret El Yahoud" (2015), "Fo'k Mostawa Elshobohat" (2016), "Halawt Al-Dunia" (2017), "Ladina Aqwal Okhra" (2018), "Rasael" (2018), "One Block Behind" (2018), "Hekayti" (2019), "Leh Laa 2" (2021), "Shaqah 6" (2021), "Ana W Heya" (2022).
