Today, the spokesman of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, Ahmed Hafez commented on the mistaken reactions and conclusions circulated on the media and social media platforms about the arrest of some EIPR employees.

Hafez said that those reactions precede the results of the investigations being conducted by the Egyptian judicial authorities in this regard.

Also, the Spokesman stated that any attempt to influence the investigations that the Public Prosecution conducts with Egyptian citizens who have been charged is unacceptable.

The Spokesman continued that Egypt respects the principles of law and the equality before it, and that freedom of civil work is granted in the country according to the Egyptian constitution and laws, stressing that no one is above law.

Hafez emphasized the need to respect the principles of national sovereignty and not to interfere in internal affairs, as stipulated in international law that governs relations between states.
