Egyptian actor Ahmed Elawady was hospitalized after suffering from a sudden health crisis.
Mahmoud Hamdan, the writer of the actor's upcoming series “Haq Arab”, announced Monday the news on Facebook without disclosing the nature of the medical complication.
“Prayers for my brother Ahmed Elawady’s recovery. Ahmed is prohibited from visitors and has been admitted to the hospital two days ago due to the difficulty of his condition.”
Elawady has been busy filming “Haq Arab” before his hospitalization.
The cast also includes Ryad El Khouly, Ahmed Seyam, Salwa Osman, Wafaa Amer, Walid Fawaz, Mido Maher, Caroline Azmy, Dina Fouad, Huda El Mufti, Mirhan Hussein, and more.
The series is scripted by Mahmoud Hamdan, directed by Ismail Farouk, and produced by Synergy.
"Haq Arab" marks Elawady's first lead role in a drama and is set to participate in the Ramadan 2024 drama marathon.
Elawady was born on December 12, 1985 in Cairo, Egypt. He is best known for his roles in The Thief of Baghdad, Mousa, and Horob Edterary. Elawady was discovered by actor Nour El-Sherif.
