On Friday, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that an agreement was to end the military conflict in Ukraine, and end the fight in Ukraine, AFP reported.

Putin said during a summit in the capital Kyrgyzstan: "Trust, of course, is almost at zero... but ultimately, in the end, an agreement will have to be reached. I have said many times that we are ready for these agreements, and we are open" to the latest agreements.

Yesterday, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that the conflict in Ukraine will end next year.

"I think the Ukrainians will be the most influential next year too, but already in peacetime," Zelensky said in a pre-recorded video to Politico's 28th annual rating ceremony.

On Wednesday, Politico newspaper named Zelenskyy the most powerful person in Europe during the ceremony.

Since February 24, the Russian Armed Forces have been carrying out a special military operation.

Russia’s President Vladimir Putin previously confirmed that the operation aims to "protect a population that has been subjected to persecution and genocide by the Kyiv regime for eight years."

After the People's Republics of Donetsk and Luhansk and the provinces of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia joined Russia, the task of the Russian forces became to liberate the entire territory of these regions from the grip of the Ukrainian forces, in addition to other goals represented in disarming Ukraine and ensuring its neutrality.
