Africa’s Coronavirus Cases Surpass 8 Million

The number of Coronavirus cases in the African continent has reached 8,500,217, according to the Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC).

It also added that the death toll from the pandemic stands at 217,000, and more than 7.66 million patients across the continent have recovered.

It is worth mentioning that, latest statistics showed that more than 215,800,601 people contracted Coronavirus worldwide.

Egypt’s Ministry of Health and Population said in a post on its official page on “Facebook” that the Coronavirus vaccine is safe, effective, and stimulates the immune system to form antibodies to protect the body from the virus.

The Ministry of Health and Population called on citizens to register in order to receive the vaccine on the website: www.egcovac.mohp.gov.eg or to visit the nearest health unit office.
