Abou El-Enein, Portuguese Ambassador discuss boosting investments

Parliament Deputy Speaker Mohamed Abou El-Enein received on Sunday, Ambassador of Portugal in Cairo Manuela Franco.

 

They discussed ways to boost parliamentary, and economic cooperation between both countries, in light of the success of the economic reform program in Egypt. Moreover, the meeting witnessed an in-depth exchange of views on many political issues of common concern.

 

On his part, Abou El Enein stressed that the consensus in the political visions between the two leaderships in Egypt and Portugal supports the cooperation between both countries, pointing out that the level of investment and trade relations between Cairo, and Lisbon is below their potential.

 

The lawmaker also reviewed the promising investment opportunities in Egypt, especially after the great boom achieved by Egypt thanks to the economic reforms implemented by the government.

 

On the other hand, the Portuguese ambassador expressed happiness to visit the parliament headquarters, stressing her country's keenness to boost its investments in Egypt.

 

'We are working with the Egyptian Parliament to deepen our cooperation in facing common strategic challenges,' Franco said.
